Cost

The cost for SR1 All-Stars participation varies based on yearly support. The support we have asked over the years varies from $0 to $250.00 for the ENTIRE season. This includes food, travel, gear, etc.  Each year we offer selected need based scholarships. There are very few programs in the nation that offer high services for such a low cost. Our mission is to remove obstacles so that student athletics that want to achieve can and not based on economic factors.  

Selection

SR1 All-Stars selection is difficult. We would like to help more participants, however based on the high cost of travel and tournament related fees we only accept the best players to compete nationwide We seek players that not only love the game of basketball but also enjoy learning, competing, and enjoying the process of achieving greatness. 

PLEASE NOTE: Selection criteria are NOT listed in order of importance.

The selection, identification, and nomination of players will be based on the following criteria:

• Commitment

• Position played/size at position

• Playing ability

• Versatility to play other positions

• Coachability

• Attitude

• Adaptability to team concept

• Leadership

• Likelihood of contributing to success of team

• Prospect to play

The Commitment

SR1 provides a lot and we ask for a high level of commitment. Student-athletes must begin to understand the sacrifice and commitment to reach the highest level of academic, social, and athletic status:

  • The student-athlete MUST participate in an introductory interview with SR1 staff/mentors.

  • The student-athlete is required to attend ALL workout, practice, and academic/social skills sessions held by SR1.

  • The student-athlete can only play with SR1 All-Stars during the summer session, unless agreed upon otherwise by SR1 staff.

  • The student-athlete must make practices to ensure a positive representation of the team and oneself.

  • $0 - $250  tax-deductible donation as a financial commitment

  • Family activities (trips, prom, etc.) are not eligible reason for not attending a practice, workout, tournament, academic/social skills sessions. Student-athletes MUST be present during mandatory "Live Period Tournaments" for college coaches and scouts. 

SR1 Provides

SR1 All-Stars will provide the following benefits to those selected to be an SR1-All Star:

  • Participation in organized events against future professional and collegiate players.

  • College and media exposure opportunities

  • Tournament and all-travel fees including meals (Over $1,000 per player per season)

  • All gear and training costs (Over $1,000 per player per season)

  • Year-round tutoring/mentoring in academic and social skills (i.e. ACT Prep, NCAA Clearinghouse)

  • Coaching with a professional and respectful approach

  • Professional, certified trainers

  • Feedback to high school coaches

  • All games are filmed and shared with scouts, coaches, and players.

To ensure proper playing time and player development, we are seeking only 10-15 top student athletes per team.
