SR1 All-Stars club basketball team’s player participation is currently invitation only.

ABOUT SR1 ALL-STARS:
SR1 All-Stars is sponsored by SR1 (Scientific Research), a non-profit located in Ridgeland, MS that provides College Preparatory services, with the goal of helping student-athletes reach the highest level of “College Access and Success” athletically, academically, and socially.

For the spring/summer season, SR1 All-Stars will participate in the most competitive travel schedule throughout the nation to ensure student-athletes can reach their full college preparatory potential. Since we are playing the nation’s elite players in front of college coaches and sharing film, we are seeking high-level potential Division I college basketball caliber student-athletes in 9th – 11th grades.

SPRING/SUMMER SEASON:This year’s SR1 All-Stars club basketball teams will include: Ladies 15U, 16U and 17U teams and Guys 16U and 17U teams. Both the Ladies and Guys teams will play on the highest level grassroot circuit for collegiate exposure – either shoe circuit or independent. SR1 All-Stars’ goal is to be the top placing team in each age group therefore players must understand the commitment to play college/professional basketball at an elevated level.*Subject to change based on health and safety of players and NCAA recruiting calendar and recommendation.

SR1 ALL-STARS SELECTION:
To ensure proper playing time and player development, we are seeking only 10-12 top student athletes per team. Student-athletes must understand the sacrifice and commitment in receiving the highest level of academic, social, and athletic skill building support provided and sponsored by SR1.

 

The selection, identification, and nomination of players will be based on the following criteria (note that the selection criteria listed below are NOT listed in any order of importance):
• Commitment
• Position played/size at position
• Playing ability
• Versatility to play other positions
• Coachability
• Attitude
• Adaptability to team concept
• Leadership
• Likelihood of contributing to success of team
• Respectfulness

THE COMMITMENT:
• Must participate in an introductory interview with SR1 staff/mentors.
• Student-athlete is required to attend ALL workout, practice, and academic/social skills sessions held by SR1.
• The student-athletes can only play with SR1 All-Stars during the summer session, unless agreed upon otherwise by SR1 staff.
• The student-athlete must make practices to ensure a positive representation of the team and oneself.
• $250 tax-deductible donation as a financial commitment

 

PLEASE NOTE: Activities (i.e. prom, work, family trips) are NOT eligible excuses for not attending a practice, workout, tournament, or academic/social skills sessions. Student-athletes must be present during mandatory “Live Period Tournaments” for college coaches.

 

SR1 ALL-STARS WILL PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING BENEFITS IF THE COMMITMENT IS MET:
• Tournament and all-travel fees including meals (Over $3,000 per player)
• All gear and training costs (Over $1,000 per player)
• College and media exposure opportunities
• Participation in organized events against future professional and collegiate players
• Year-round tutoring/mentoring in academic (i.e. ACT Prep, NCAA Clearinghouse) and social skills
• Coaching with a professional and respectful approach
• Professional, certified trainers
• Feedback to high school coaches
• All games are filmed and shared with scouts, coaches, and player
